What should I wear to dance class?

Proper attire is very important for several reasons; teachers can only observe body alignment and correct technique when the clothing worn is NOT BAGGY. Adhering to dress code also prepares dancers to feel mentally ready for dance class.

All dancers must have hair up and out of their faces.

All Precious Petites, Lil’ Cuties, and Tiny Tutus students must wear a leotard and tights purchased through MOVE By Morelli. Pink ballet shoes (black for boys) and black tap shoes (if needed) are required.

Ballet class students must wear a solid colored leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. No sweat pants or baggy cover ups are allowed. Hair is required to be in a bun.

Jazz, Musical Theater, Contemporary and Tap students must wear a tight fitting dance top (for example fitted tank top or sports bra) with black booty shorts or black dance pants, nothing baggy is allowed (including T-shirts and sweat pants). Black tap shoes, tan jazz shoes for classes level 1-3, turning shoes for classes level 4-7.

For hip hop students, loose fitting clothing is encouraged. Sweat pants, and T-shirts are allowed. Sneakers are a must, preferably not shoes that are worn outside.

Acro and Yoga students must wear tight fitting clothing and should not wear tights or shoes.

**Students who routinely do not meet dress code may be asked to sit out during class
